3 in a Row! Motomike.ca Sponsored Calabogie-Spec Miata Comes in First, Again!
June 1st, 2019 and the first day of a double-header weekend. Known as the Kyle Nash Memorial Race Weekend, the Calabogie PT GT and CSMC cars were pitted along side Canadian Touring Cars, Micra Cup racers, and Radical Cup cars.
With a full schedule of racing, and variable weather conditions, the TWOth Autosport team were busy keeping all of their supported drivers and cars on the best setups over the course of the weekend... But when a caution brings a long delay, there's still time to pose for team photos.
The MotoMike Canada sponsored TWOth Autosport A41 Driver Development #41 Miata brought home a 1st place trophy for the 3rd time in a row, this time back on short-track configuration. The field of six Miatas contested the shortened race fiercely for 8 laps, and the #41 edged out a win over the second TWOth Autosport entry #38 driven by Owen Clarke. A TWOth 1-2 finish was a great way to start off the Kyle Nash weekend for the team, with Nigel Mortimer in one of his own Miatas stepping onto the podium in 3rd place.
The Calabogie-Spec Miata Challenge is a new series for 2019, and runs in conjunction with the track's Platinum Challenge classes.
