After getting run off track a couple of weeks ago shaking down the #613 Motomike Canada Kawasaki Ninja 400 bike, we spent a lot of time and effort to get it ready to roll this past weekend for round 1 of the CSBK Canadian National Lightweight Sport Bike championship at Calabogie Motorsports Park.
We were lucky that the majority of the damage was cosmetic, but we worked right up til the morning of race day to get it ready to roll out. ...
...
After qualifying 5th, putting the bike on the right side of the second row, We managed to climb to third by turn 2, and 2nd by lap 2. It was a hard charging first few laps, and we even managed a pass for the lead, which lasted 3 corners!
...
After falling back to 2nd again, and with a healthy gap to 3rd the two of us kept pulling away, with @mackweilracing steadily drifting further ahead each lap til the checkers.

the bike ran flawlessly and going from parts bin to podium in a couple short weeks made the @perthbrewery Last Dual lager(s) taste that much better.

From a press release issued By CSBK/Professional Motorsports Productions:

"Teenager Mack Weil took his first career victory in the AIM Insurance Amateur Lightweight class, overcoming an early challenge from rookie Kawasaki rider Mike Maguire to win by nearly seven seconds aboard his Ninja 400.

The youngster entered 2020 as one of the favourites to win the “junior” series and delivered in round one, finishing over six seconds clear of Maguire in second, who enjoyed a terrific National debut aboard his Ninja 400, while Paul Etienne Courtois completed the podium in third aboard his Honda CBR500R."
