2021 CSBK Supersonic Road Race School Lightweight Sportbike national champion Harvey Renaud is set to defend his #1 plate in the newly formed Pro-AM Lightweight class this weekend at Grand Bend Motorplex.
The rider of the #28 machine is hoping to see a good turnout for the new class, which has slightly relaxed rules compared to the Amateur Lightweight division.
"[I'm] Really looking forward to this season with some more horsepower and a little less weight.  I'm interested to see what kind of lap times we can pull from these lightweight sportbikes!." He said recently. "Grand Bend is a new circuit for our team, hopefully we can use our experience from last year and get up to speed.  Qualifying will be a challenge to get a good starting position, but our machines launch well, and the track used to be an airfield after all!  I'm optimistic; Let's get it!"
His Motomike Canada Kawasaki Ninja 400 will be sporting a new livery this year to go along with his black Pro numbers, and he has secured some new sponsorship from long-time racing fans Mortgage Wellness out of Barrie, Ontario.

Teammate Mike Maguire is returning in 2022 to compete once again for the CSBK Supersonic Road Race School Amateur Lightweight Sportbike championship on his identically prepped Ninja 400 motorcycle.
Maguire was leading the 2020 AM Lightweight championship by a single point when the unfortunate announcement was made that the season would be cut short, and no championships would be awarded outside of the Pro-Superbike series.
Maguire had hoped to return to top form in 2021, and podiumed in race 1 despite a loose handlebar, but had an unfortunate incident in race 2 when another rider crashed in front of him, his bike colliding with Maguire's and sending the rider to the hospital with a broken collarbone and burst vein in his leg, forcing him to sit out the remainder of the season.  Maguire is looking to avoid injury and has his eyes on the top of the box for the 2022 season opener this weekend.

Look for our new livery to be unveiled at Grand Bend Motorplex June 10th-12th, and keep an eye on Race Monitor app if you can't make it in person.
